Promoting sustainable industrialization and informatization around the world
The Global Association of Civilizational Diversity aims to industrialize and informatize the world through digital technology.
To this end, we conduct extensive research into the social thought and social systems of modern civilizations as well as civilizations of all ages and cultures.
We will disseminate the results of our research, promote solidarity between diverse civilizations, and pave the way for a new civilized society.
About our association
Establishment

In July 2021,
We founded the International Organization (NGO) with Mr. Umbu Marisi (*1), who continues to be respected as a king (*2) in the local traditional society.
(*1) A lineal ascendant and current head of the royal family of Sumba Island.
(*2) Legally, the monarchy of Indonesia was abolished in the 1970s.
Sumba Island is a relatively underdeveloped region in Indonesia, but the social system is still maintained based on the traditional belief of Marapu, which is based on ancestral worship.
We consider this place, where the diversity of civilizations is evident, as the birthplace of our organization.
We intend to build an economic and social system that reduces diverse social systems to modern civilization and strengthens civilizational diversity.

We have decided to establish a secretariat in Japan and continue our activities.
We have chosen an organizational structure based on the NPO Law as a Japanese organization.
After obtaining certification from the City of Yokohama, the registration of the establishment of the NPO was completed in March 2022.

About Applied Information Sociology
“Applied Sociology of Information” is a framework of research that takes only the modernized model of “Sociology of Information” that Dr. Shunpei Kumon started, and further builds on it to examine how to build an information society in developing countries. In considering how to build an information society in developing countries, our association also draws on the perspective of applied information sociology.
Modernization, Civilization
The following is a definition of “civilization” and a concept of “modernization” based on applied information sociology.
Civilization:
a kind of three-tiered social system
physical structure; Various systems create physical structures.
social system; Many actual systems are constructed based on social ideas.
social thought; The idea of building such a society (social thought) is shared in people’s minds.
Modernization:
Modern civilization encompasses large areas of the earth (globalization)
Do developed countries excel so backward regions should follow suit?
Should we follow the culture of multinational companies and platformers because they are superior?
NOW; All People Promote Modernization Simultaneously (Third New Modernization)
First Modern Period; a time when only Europeans were thought to be able to modernize
Second Modern Age; a time when only Europeans and some honors Asians and Africans were thought to be able to modernize
Third New Modern; An era in which all people on earth, regardless of race, history, ethnicity, tradition, religion, etc. are promoting modernization
Let’s respect diversity and realize sustainable socio-economic development!
